Not for Good

I'm probably not back for good. I'm trying to figure out how to balance everything in my life right now and I'm just not that great at it yet.

This week I set for the second annual Flashpoint Comp at the WPI CAVE. I was one of the main developers of the competition and I'm glad to see how much it has improved since I created it. It's weird coming back and not being in charge of making any of these decisions, but I'm happy with the decisions that were made for the comp this year.

They decided to have two sets of problems instead of one. One set is for beginners and the other set is for intermediate/advanced. We ended up having a lot of setters this year. Which is awesome, but at the same time I would have loved to have set more. I haven't set so few problems over such a long period of time since I first started setting. I set one problem.

Today, two days before the comp, I did a mini forerunning session. Somehow I managed to try everything in about an hour and still have time to go home, eat and type this up. There's a lot of fun stuff, though some tweaking needs to happen. The problem I set is something I'm pretty psyched on. It feels like it flows pretty well, but I wasn't able to try the last third. Hopefully tomorrow, I will be able to try it out and see some V8 climbers get it to go.
